Custom Trade Show Exhibits Built for Engagement

A custom exhibit is more than a branded booth. It's an environment where visitors interact with your product, your team, and your brand on the show floor. Interactive demo zones, touchscreen experiences, hands-on product stations, immersive lighting, and lounge spaces designed to keep buyers engaged longer.

Storm Displays designs and builds custom exhibits for brands that need the booth to do real sales work. From the discovery conversation through on-site install, one team handles every layer of the build. What Makes a Custom Exhibit Different

A custom booth gives visitors something to look at. A custom exhibit gives them something to do. The difference shows up in lead quality, conversation length, and how many of your booth visitors actually remember you after the show.

Experience Elements We Build

Every custom exhibit combines a few of these elements based on what your product needs to demonstrate and how visitors should engage on the floor.

Element 01

Product Demo Stations

Dedicated zones where visitors interact with your product live. Counters at working height, integrated power for live demos, and storage for inventory or marketing materials.

Element 02

Touchscreen Experiences

Wall-mounted or kiosk-style touchscreens for product configurators, lead capture, video demos, or interactive content. Engages visitors when staff is busy with other prospects.

Element 03

Backlit Media Walls

Large-format backlit displays integrated into the booth structure. Pulls visitors from across the floor and serves as the visual anchor for the entire exhibit.

Element 04

Lounge & Meeting Areas

Branded seating, soft surfaces, and quiet zones for longer conversations with serious prospects. Pulls high-value visitors out of show floor noise and into a real sales conversation.

Element 05

Hanging Signs & Overhead Branding

Visible from across the entire hall, hanging signs pull visitors to your booth before they hit the aisle. Common on island and large custom exhibits.

Element 06

Architectural Lighting

Programmable lighting that changes mood, highlights products, and pulls attention to specific zones. Often the difference between a booth that looks expensive and one that looks generic.

Get Answers for FAQs

How is a custom exhibit different from a custom booth?
A custom booth is built around your brand presence. A custom exhibit is built around the visitor experience. Booths give visitors something to look at; exhibits give them something to do. Exhibits typically include interactive demo zones, A/V integration, touchscreens, hands-on product stations, and lounge spaces designed for longer conversations. If your product benefits from being demonstrated or touched in person, you want an exhibit. If your booth is primarily a brand visibility play, a custom booth may be the better fit.
What footprint do custom exhibits typically require?
Custom exhibits work in any footprint from 10x20 upward, but they perform best in 20x20 and larger spaces where you can dedicate zones for demo stations, lounge areas, and visitor flow. The largest custom exhibits are island booth displays with open access on all four sides. Tell us your booth assignment and we will design the right exhibit for the space you actually have.
Can we integrate our own technology and demo equipment?
Yes. Every custom exhibit is engineered around the demo equipment, product samples, A/V gear, and technology you plan to bring. Power runs, mounting hardware, screen placement, and cable management are all designed into the booth from the start. Send us a list of what you plan to install and we will engineer the exhibit to accommodate it.
How long does a custom exhibit take to design and build?
Custom exhibits typically need more lead time than standard custom booths because of the additional design complexity around visitor flow, A/V integration, and interactive elements. Larger and more complex exhibits need more time for engineering, fabrication, and on-site testing. Send us your show date and we will tell you honestly what is realistic for your timeline.
Can a custom exhibit be reused at multiple shows?
Yes. Every custom exhibit we build is engineered for reuse across multiple shows. Structural components break down into shipping cases, A/V equipment travels separately in protective road cases, and the whole exhibit rebuilds at the next venue. Graphics can be reprinted between shows when your messaging or branding changes, while the structural hardware and A/V integration carry forward.
Can we rent a custom exhibit instead of buying?
Yes. Custom-designed rental exhibits are an option when you need a fully branded interactive build for a single show or a limited number of events without the long-term commitment. Same design process, same build quality, rental pricing. Visit our trade show booth rentals page or tell us about your show and we will walk you through whether buying or renting fits better.
